THE IMPORTANCE OF PARTNERSHIP IN THE SHINYANGA REGION
Cooperatives are the only remaining and reliable weapon to uplift the low-income farmer, through Cooperatives Farmers have one voice in deciding things like setting the price of their produce when they want to sell, finding a reliable market, including producing productively. In addition, through Cooperatives farmers largely gain great benefits because they are the ones setting the price, a good example is through the warehouse receipt system.
Through a cooperative model for the Shinyanga region, farmers will benefit greatly because despite having a cotton crop for some time now, the Government has officially legalized the sale of Lentil and Choroko crops through auctions, thus increasing the income of small farmers.
Increased awareness and importance of farmers using cooperatives to gain productivity and avoid theft or losses. For example, for the year 2020/2021, SHIRECU (1984) LTD has planned to use the Warehouse Receipt system for farmers to sell their produce, a system which is basically a directive of our beloved Fifth Phase Government
